Jakarta Cathedral

Jakarta Cathedral (Indonesian: Gereja Katedral Jakarta) is a Roman Catholic Cathedral in Jakarta, Indonesia, which is also the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Jakarta.

Its official name is “Gereja Santa Maria Pelindung Diangkat Ke Surga” which means “The Church of Our Lady of Assumption”.

This cathedral was consecrated in 1901 and built in the neo-gothic style. The Jakarta Cathedral is located in Central Jakarta near Merdeka Square and Merdeka Palace, it is stood right in the front of Istiqlal Mosque

Kecak and Fire Dance

Shown in Uluwatu, Bali Indonesia, Kecak is a Balinese dance which is accompanied by a choir of seventy men and has its origin in an old ritual dance called the “Sanghyang” dance.

In this dance, a person in a state of trance communicates with the deities or ancestors. Using the dancers as a medium, the deities convey their wish in the 1930’s to include the old Indian epic Ramayana into dance.

This is the epic tale of “Rama at Sita”.

Masjid Istiqlal

Istiqlal Mosque, or Masjid Istiqlal, (Independence Mosque) in Jakarta, Indonesia is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia in terms of capacity to accommodate people and building structure.

Uluwatu Temple

Is a Hindu temple set on the cliff (situated on the coral reef sordid to sea about 80 meters above the sea level) in the south part of Bali Peninsula Indonesia. It is featured by a small dry forest called Alas Kekeran (interdict forest) which belong to the temple and dwelt by a lot of monkeys. The name “Uluwatu” comes from the word Ulu meaning the head and Watu meaning stone. Therefore Uluwatu Temple means the temple built on the tip of coral reef.

Taman Ayun Temple

The temple of Taman Ayun is a Royal Temple of Mengwi Empire and it is located in Mengwi Village, Mengwi sub district, Badung regency in Bali Indonesia which has long been well known as a tourist attraction and the name itself means beautiful garden.

The function of Taman Ayun Temple is a place to pray the god in their manifestation. It is according to the content of Babad Mengwi and the existence of temple building structure, especially the temple that is located in third area (Jeroan). According to Astadewata, the special God is worshiped in Taman Ayun Temple is the God in manifestation as a Wisnu God which his palace located in top of Mangu mount.

Taman Ayun Temple is a special altar for the King family of Mengwi Palace or as a Merajan Agung from Mengwi King Families.

The temple was built by I Gusti Agung Anom, a founder of the Mengwi kingdom in 1934. It is built on a high tableland which is surrounded by ponds which gives the effect from afar that the temple is floating on water.

Jakarta Nasional Monument

The National Monument is a 132 meter tower in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia's independence. Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno and the monument was opened to the public in 1975.

New Kuta Condotel

A romantic and serene Hotel in Bali Indonesia which is located within the compound of the still undevelop Pecatu Draha. This place is walking distance from the Dreamland Beach (currently known as the New Kuta Beach). We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. There are no establishments, bars or shops near the place for the development and construction of Pecatu Draha is still incomplete.

Dreamland Beach

Currently known as the "New Kuta Beach" located in Bali Indonesia

The Dreamland Beach was once spotted and found by a western surfer back in the 70′s. The beach provided basic accommodation and cafes for surfers and day trippers. One of the most beautiful beaches on the island, it is also renowned for its dangerous shorebreak.

Tanah Lot

This is the temple that sits on large offshore rock located in Tabanan in Bali Indonesia. Tanah Lot means "Land in the Sea" in Balinese language. Tanah Lot is claimed to be the work of the 15th century priest Nirartha. During his travels along the south coast he saw the rock-island's beautiful setting and rested there. Some fishermen saw him, and bought him gifts. Nirartha then spent the night on the little island. Later he spoke to the fishermen and told them to build a shrine on the rock for he felt it to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods.
