Ryūzu Falls ("Dragon's Head Waterfall") is a waterfall located upstream from the Yugawa River which makes its way into Lake Yunoko and Lake Chuzenji. It is located near Nikkō in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Ryūzu can be translated as 'Dragon's Head', and is so named because of its twin falls are said to resemble a dragon's head.

The Ryuzu Falls is the cascade of water which gives the waterfall its beauty. Yugawa river runs across the senjogahara and falls furiously on the lava bed of Mt. Nantai. The total length of this waterfall is about 210 meters and the width is about 10 meters. It was named as “Ryuzu” (a dragon’s head) because of the way it falls, splashing and winding among the big rocks. It takes 15 minutes walk to the lower stream of the falls.

How to get there?
There is a bus stop between the Chuzenji Onsen and the Yu-daki stop. This is actually closer to the bottom walkway of the falls.
It will take you 15 to 20 minutes walk going to upstream.
