The Quezon Memorial Circle

In Quezon City

The Quezon Memorial Circle is a national park and shrine. This is where the remains of Manuel L. Quezon, the second President of the Philippines, and his wife, First Lady Aurora Quezon are located.

The site was originally proposed as the National Capitol to house the three branches of the Philippine government (Legislative, Executive, and Judicial) as part of the National Government Center in Quezon City, former capital of the Philippines (1948–1976). The building construction was interrupted by the beginning of the World War II. Then this place was declared a memorial place to President Manuel L. Quezon after the war by his successor, President Sergio OsmeƱa.
